Things are coming together for this summer. I've got a caterer, a dress, and we know what time the shindig is going to start. The caterer seems really nice and they gave me the names of some rental companies. We went with the first caterer we knew of because their food is damn good. The rental company seems like its going to be expensive. Who knew there was a 50 cent difference between a gray metal chair and a white metal chair? These people in the wedding industry make a freaking forture.
To Do:
Finalize a rental company
Rent porta potties
Get the real guest list together
Talk to my old boss at the greenhouse about gerbera daisies
Find a cheap place to get bouquets in that area
Figure out cool but cheap invites (Alison if you're reading this, where did you get yours?)
Hmmmmm, what else?
In other news, I had my first sub today. I am anxious about going back to my room tomorrow and seeing what the kids did. I'm hoping that they didn't do anything. If they did, then I have to follow through with my crazy consequences and that's not cool for anyone.
The meeting I was at was pretty awesome. We talked about supporting postive behavior instead of all of the negative. I came up with a rewards system for my class that seems pretty cool. Also, I think I'm going to put together some kind of acknowledgement system for teachers. The morale at that school needs to go up!!

We ordered our invitations from Party Perfect (corner of W. Main and Drake, near that Taco Bell, Kzoo 10, FAzoli's, etc.) There's a place in the back corner of the store with tooooooooooons of wedding and invitation crap.
